This app occupies the top leftmost corner spot on a page i created on my iphone for photography related apps because I use it everyday. In fact its my most-often used photo app. Let me tell you why.
This app collects news and posts from a variety of sources on the web. The authors are photo enthusiasts like myself and the sites are well-chosen for quality and timeliness. They are also grouped by topic such as news, lighting or postprocessing to keep it organized. There is also a tab to show the most recent articles from your favorite sites (the list is customizable) allowing you to stay on top of the latest buzz easily.
When you pull up an article it shows up in a built-in browser that presents the page with formatting preserved and looks similar to how the page appears in safari. Its very easy to share articles i like via twitter, facebook, or email with just one button.
The app is very well thought out by its authors who have been adding new and useful features with every version. For example 1.4 added a thumbnail to each article showing the photo illustrating the story. That makes it easy for visually oriented folks like us to peruse articles. Another example is that after you read an article it becomes gray making it easy to distinguish from new articles. There are a lot of nice touches like that.
In reply to one criticism above its NOT true that only the title shows up. You can of course click on an item on the list and read the entire article, with pictures and formatting, even comments. It is no slower at loading pages than safari.
At its current discount price or even its full price this is a tremendous timesaver and a must-buy for any photographer (pro or otherwise) who wants to stay on top of the latest news or improve their skills.
